Ladies and gentlemen, we have a release date! That's right friends! Slumdog Millionaire has finally set a release date of.....March 31, 2009. I've had it ordered on amazon.com since February 1, the day it was made available to order. Since then, it has just said "this item is currently unavailable, but sign up now and we will notify you of a release date". I had checked it at least once a day since then (ok, so maybe not once a day, but often) to see if there was an actual date. Imagine my surprise and excitement when I checked tonight and saw that there was an actual date! March 31! Just over a month away. I cannot wait. I've updated my shipping preference to overnight, so that I will have it on the release day. If you're, feel free to stop by the College Ave mansion on the 31st, we'll be having a viewing. I'm most excited to see the Bollywood sequence at the end, and, who am I kidding, the entire movie. I really am excited about this...a great ending to an already great day. Jai Ho!
